Rae's international profile as an adjudicator has been endorsed by invitations to competition juries in Europe, America and Asia. She was a member of the jury at the prestigious Dublin International Piano Competition in 2012. Other invitations to adjudicate have included the Singapore National Piano Competition, the Gina Bachauer International Young Artists Competition, the Lee University International Competition and the World Piano Teachers Association International Piano Competition.
Rae was keynote speaker at the 2009 Australasian Piano Pedagogy Conference in Sydney and also at the 2010 Western Australian Piano Pedagogy Conference. She is often invited to speak at conferences on musicians' health and was keynote speaker at the Australasian Society of Performing Arts Healthcare conference in Melbourne in 2015. Rae has given master classes in Singapore, London, Perth, Sydney, Serbia, and the USA and has examined postgraduate and doctoral students in both Australia and New Zealand. She further contributes to the profession by conducting seminars for music teachers throughout the country.
